Telia Company, a leading telecommunications and digital services provider in the Nordic and Baltic regions, recently announced the appointment of Patrik Hofbauer as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Hofbauer, who was previously the CEO of Svenska Spel, will take over the role from current CEO Johan Dennelind on April 1st, 2021.

Hofbauer brings a wealth of experience to Telia Company, having served as CEO of Svenska Spel since 2016. During his tenure at Svenska Spel, Hofbauer was credited with leading the company through a successful digital transformation and increasing its market share. He also oversaw the launch of several new products and services, including a new online gaming platform.

Telia Company Chairman Anders Narvinger said in a statement that Hofbauer’s “extensive experience in leading digital transformation and driving growth makes him the perfect choice to lead Telia Company into the future.” Narvinger also praised Hofbauer’s “strong track record of delivering results” and his “unique ability to combine strategy and execution.”
