Samy Boujmala Wins WPT Prime Aix-en-Provence Poker Tournament

On April 28th, 2019, Samy Boujmala of France became the champion of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Aix-en-Provence Poker Tournament. This tournament was held in Aix-en-Provence, France and was a part of the WPT’s Season XVIII schedule. Boujmala was able to outlast a field of 517 players to take home the €150,000 first-place prize.

The tournament began on April 25th and featured a buy-in of €1,500. The tournament was a No Limit Hold’em event and the final table was reached after two days of play. At the final table, Boujmala faced off against some of the best players in the world, including the likes of Davidi Kitai, Antoine Saout, and Pierre Neuville.

Boujmala was able to take an early lead at the final table and never looked back. He was able to eliminate all of his opponents one by one and eventually took down the tournament when he eliminated Kitai in second place. This victory marked Boujmala’s first major tournament win and he was understandably ecstatic.

This victory is a huge accomplishment for Boujmala and it is sure to open up many doors for him in the future. He now has a total of $1.2 million in career live tournament earnings and is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the poker world for years to come.
