John Monnette Wins 5th WSOP Bracelet in Event #30: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

On July 4th, 2019, John Monnette became the latest poker professional to join the exclusive club of players who have won five or more World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets. Monnette won his fifth bracelet in Event #30: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball at the 50th annual WSOP in Las Vegas.

Monnette, who is originally from Los Angeles, California, has been playing poker professionally since 2005. He has been a regular at the WSOP since 2006 and has cashed in over 40 events. This was his first bracelet win since 2014, when he won the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Championship.
