FanDuel Reports Q3 Revenue Surge Driven by Growth in UK & Ireland Market

The fantasy sports platform FanDuel has reported a surge in revenue for the third quarter of 2020, driven by strong growth in its UK and Ireland market. The company reported a total revenue of $81.3 million, up from $56.6 million in the same period last year. This represents a 44% year-over-year increase in revenue.

The company attributed the growth to its UK and Ireland market, which saw a significant increase in revenue from $13.5 million in Q3 2019 to $25.2 million in Q3 2020. This represents an 86% year-over-year increase in revenue for this market.

FanDuel CEO Matt King commented on the results, saying “I’m pleased to report that FanDuel had another strong quarter of growth, with revenue increasing 44% year-over-year and our UK and Ireland business leading the way with an 86% increase in revenue. We’ve seen strong customer growth across all our markets, and we’re continuing to invest in our product and marketing to drive further engagement and monetization.”

The company also reported that its daily active users (DAUs) increased by 24% year-over-year, while its monthly active users (MAUs) increased by 19%. This indicates that the company is continuing to grow its user base, which is key to driving future revenue growth.

Overall, FanDuel’s Q3 2020 results demonstrate the company’s ability to capitalize on the growing popularity of fantasy sports in the UK and Ireland market. With a strong user base and increasing revenue, FanDuel is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory in the coming quarters.
